Each year the medical center brings in tens of millions of dollars in grants. Their maternity ward delivers the most babies born in that city and they have a very active heart surgery center.

They have one years' worth of data on their EHR and two years of paper on the shelf. The older records are all maintained on microfilm. You have just run out of storage space. Because of this, you have been asked to evaluate the current retention policy, which is to retain records forever.
