A 2-year-old male with known ventricular septal defect (VSD) presents for a well child exam. He has been followed by cardiology since age 2 weeks. Cardiac exam reveals a grade III/VI harsh, high pitched systolic murmur, heard best at the left lower sternal border. Previously, the murmur was a grade II/VI low pitched systolic murmur heard best at the left lower sternal border. S1 and S2 are normal and there are no gallops (S3 or S4) on auscultation. His history is unremarkable, and the rest of his physical exam is normal. What is your NEXT step?
