In a steady process, steam is expanded adiabatically in a reversible turbine and then sent to an isobaric heat exchanger (HE) to produce a saturated liquid. No shaft work is done in the heat exchanger unit. The mass flow rate of steam is 5945 kg/h. The input to the turbine is at 367.2°C and 13 bar, while the output from the heat exchanger is at 4.0 bar. If the amount of heat transfer in the HE unit is 2460 kJ per kg of steam, what is the magnitude of shaft work obtained from the turbine in kW?
