1. Predict how many earthquakes of magnitude 5.0 and above will occur over a 10-day period from June 18th 12:01am through June 27th 11:59 pm UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). This is an exercise to test your geological data gathering and hypothesis formation. (You cannot predict exactly when and where an earthquake can occur, but you can estimate how many larger earthquakes will occur around the world over a period of time with a little bit of research and some basic math skills)

2. Clearly state how you made your prediction:

a. List all sources of data and information you found, and

b. Explain how you made your prediction based on your data. Be sure to give a detailed mathematical description because I must be able to understand how you came up with your number. This must be at least half a page in length.
