Link-Local Multicast Name Resolution (LLMNR) (defined by RFC 4795), is a protocol based on the DNS packet format. LLMNR allows IPv4 and IPv6 network nodes to perform name resolution for other devices connected to the same local link. How is it similar to DNS? How is it different?
