I was unfortunately impacted by COVID-19 and it has left some long lasting affect. I want to work on improving my overall health. I have utilized SMART goal before in school when completing my certification in addictions counselling as well as at work with clients. I find it to be realistic and reasonable to achieve goals. COVID-19 has caused a decrease in physical mobility in an attempt to prevent the spread, according to Berger et al. (2021). This has resulted in an increase in obesity rates. Making lasting, meaningful change is challenging, especially during a pandemic, when individuals are unsure of what goals they should set for themselves (Genewick, 2020). Using the SMART goal planning approach at this period can help us keep on track and make goal attainment more feasible (Genewick, 2020). Personally, I've found that not being able to engage in physical exercise has slowed my rehabilitation; however, gyms and other services are now open, giving me the opportunity to establish a reasonable goal. Specific - Increase physical activity and good nutrition to better my endurance and cognitive functioning. Measurable: Hire a personal trainer and nutritionist. Follow the diet plan and go to the gym as recommended. Achievable
