Charles is a landscape architect. He designs a new yard and garden for a client. He supervises the actual work but does not actually have staff to do the labor, so others actually move dirt, place rocks, plant shrubs, etc. Two years after completion the client's neighbor's basement floods following a heavy rain. The neighbor contends the basement never flooded until the new yard and garden was built, which must have altered the watercourse so as to direct surface water to flow into the neighbor's yard.
