1) One of your tasks as Manager of your Division is to hire employees. You’ve used your knowledge acquired from Business Research Methods and Applications back in the days of graduate school to develop a method of selecting who to hire from the interviewed candidates. You believe, and the others in the company are convinced, that the best person to hire is the one with the highest score based on certain criteria and weights. The criteria are 1) responses to questions during the interview, 2) general sociability, and 3) perception by your other employees who have met with the potential new hire. You believe the first and third criteria are equally important and each is twice as important as the second criteria.

John, Mary, and Kyle have just completed the interview stage. Kyle was absolutely hated by all whereas John and Mary both impressed everyone. Kyle gave the best responses to questions with Mary and John giving just adequate responses. Kyle is less sociable than Mary but more so than John.
