The Sarbanes-Oxley Act had a huge impact on the accounting and auditing profession. Select a specific auditing issue and determine how the Act impacted that issue.

You are to write a three to four (3-4) page report that answers the following:

1. Examine an auditing issue that is impacted by Sarbanes-Oxley.

2. Compare and contrast that issue before and after the Sarbanes-Oxley Act was implemented.

3. Determine the impact that the Act had on that particular issue, on accountants and auditors, and on stakeholders.

4. Analyze the general impact Sarbanes-Oxley had on the auditing process as a whole.

The format of the report is to be as follows:

o Typed, double spaced, Times New Roman font (size 12), one inch margins on all sides, APA format.

o Use headers for each of the subjects being covered, followed by your response.

o In addition to the three to four (3-4) pages required, a title page is to be included.
