Client reports previous weight of 139-142 lbs., with current as 148 lbs. Exam is consistent with 16-18 weeks pregnant. Rapid saliva test for HIV positive. Isaac's test positive also. Provided counseling with Ebony and Isaac about positive status and precautions. Contact tracing reveals that they both claim to be monogamous and deny intravenous drug use. Both report frequent use of marijuana to "calm down." Ebony denies drinking alcohol or smoking tobacco. Isaac believes he was "burned" in a relationship before Ebony over a year ago. He said, "I knew she wasn't clean, that's why I am not with her anymore." Couple referred to center counselor for support and social services. Client did not take vitamins or folic acid before this visit. Client has had no surgeries or major illnesses, reported fracturing her arm, having fallen during ice skating at age nine.
