I have the following text and i need to answer this question as a practice :

Is euthanasia morally acceptable in this specific case? What principles do you rely on? Provide a convincing justification using ethic theories as utilitarianism, ontoly, deontologism etc.

You work as a nurse in a palliative care department. Ms. Louise Giguère, one of the beneficiaries under your responsibility, is 41 years old. Suffering from a metastatic neoplasty of the breast, she is in the terminal phase. Despite intense and continuous suffering, Madame Giguère is very lucid. To relieve the pain of this patient, analgesic medication is provided. You are responsible for administering this medication.

Madame Giguère's spouse discusses the situation with you. He wishes that she does not suffer and asks you if there is no way to shorten his martyrdom. Very calm, he tells you, "We want her to leave with dignity and ... quickly." Louise loved life too much to accept to endure a long agony and to live a life that no longer has meaning ". This meeting shakes you up and you try to take stock of yourself.

Please explain to me why it is an ethic problem so i can understand the meaning.
