Emerging Tech - Intelligent User Interfaces and Ambient Intelligence (AmI)

In the future, Ambient Intelligence equipped with Intelligent User Interfaces will allow people to operate computers and machines without physical devices screens and controllers. These technologies run invisibly in the background and perform daily routines, such as remind people when their food stock in the fridge is running low, or prepare umbrellas in front of doors when it is about to rain. AmI can sense, learn, and predict the needs and wants of their 'masters' by observing behavioural patterns. It can also automate human's mundane and boring chores and free them up to do more important things. This continuous observance and monitoring can also penetrate private human emotions.

1. Are humans really free to do whatever we want without fearing that their privacy is getting breached? Should AmI be allowed to record all our emotions and behaviour?

2. Describe 3 ways in which AmI may make the human environment more controllable? What portion of controls should be given to AmI over our environment?
