Health, safety, and nutrition are integral to a quality early childhood program. As you will recall, health practices prevent illness, promote cleanliness and good personal hygiene, and ensure children receive proper physical activity. Safety practices are measures taken to prevent injury, and nutrition practices ensure children are fed a healthy, balanced diet. All three are embedded into the daily schedule and impact the day-to-day functions of such a program. Additionally, the way in which these practices are incorporated will vary by age group.In this report, you will be given a table with a sample daily schedule divided by age group. To ensure overall child wellness, you will fill in the table to reflect how health, safety, and nutritional practices are applied during daily routines for each age group. You will conclude the report with a short narrative piece addressing some of the information in the table. You can use the weekly lectures and readings to find the necessary information.
