A 35 year old female (Rosalyn) comes to your office as a regular 6-month recall client. She has been a client in the practice since it opened 7 years a go and is always faithful in coming to her appointments. You have seen Rosalyn for the past 4 years. In general, she is good health. her probing depths usually are generalized 1-3 mm with light supra and sub- calculus localized to the lower anterior teeth. Some very mild marginal inflammation is present from inadequate brushing technique. This client has been seen by the same dentist for years. The practice is growing and there are 4 full time hygienist; clients are booked with the first available hygienist. at her last visit, Rosalyn was seen by Darius, one of the other dental hygienist in the practice, and then returned to you who normally treats her each recall. As part of the periodontal assessment, you start to probe and notice that her readings are much lower at today's appointment than at the last visit. You are finding generalized probing depths between 1 and 3 mm and the char shows that the readings back in March of 2016 were in the 2-5 mm range.
