Infection Control Education for Healthcare Workers
Some state(s) require ongoing periodic education on Infection Control Measures for those renewing a license to care for patients. New York state is one example of such a state and Excelsior College is required to ensure students have this education in their AD nursing education. The content relates to much you will learn in this course in Module 3, such as standard and transmission-based precautions. The content also includes practices and policies for determining the health of healthcare workers at hire and ongoing through employment. Assessment of the health of workers is thus a key factor.
Key points are as follows.
