At the time of the declaration of the cash dividend, P3 had 300,000 shares of $100 par, 8% preferred stock and 8,500,000 shares of $2 common stock. The date of declaration was August 20th, payable to shareholders of record on Sept. 10th, distributed on September 30th. Record the entry but also indicate the dividend per share received by the common stockholders.
