Question

Nurse Torres identifies in a small town, the increase in respiratory diseases through contact with the families of the community and jointly through the local chapter of the Puerto Rican Lung Association. During family visits, he estimates many of the parents who are smokers. These families have young children, they established the harm of secondhand smoke in the health of babies and children within their assigned family cases. Later, to broaden his estimate of the area, he was informed that the community recognizes several problems. Including safety in schools and the risk of water contamination and in addition to the problem of smoking that he had previously identified in his visits to families. Dialogue with different members of the community revealed that they wanted to solve all these identified problems, although they were undecided on how to start the process.
