A description of patient
Ms. K is 71 years old from the nursing home. Ms. K was admitted with hypercalcemia. The Resident's mobility and appetite have been decreasing in the last 48 hours. She has had a weakness in the left hand and arm, along with decreased speech in the last 48 hours. Ms. K has poor memory, and she has difficulty solving problems, as well as other thinking abilities. Ms. K is alert and confused, and she has significant abnormal pain and some nausea and vomiting as well. Her extensive medical history includes atrial fibrillation, heart failure, hyperparathyroidism, diabetes, and Parkinson's disease. Here I have explained how interprofessional care competencies should be incorporated into the care of Ms. K. To keep confidentiality, name of the resident have been changed.
