The advancement of being able to deliver efficient and effective care has been improved by technological improvements. For example, the current electronic health records (EHR) have capabilities to collate, trend and track data from documentation of the clinicians or health care devices that input into the EHR. For these outcome reasons, more adoption of automated health care documentation has occurred in health care settings. However, that won't happen unless someone or the organization is willing to embrace, introduce and support such initiatives. The introduction of meaningful use expectation was the catalyst for doing such support. However, this required leaders to understand the meaningful policy and then setting standards and expectations of their teams to move forward with implementation of the policy. They also need to have knowledge of the specific policies in order to be behind spearheading change. So while you are discussing valid points about the role of technology, informatics includes technology and application of technology. So knowing the importance of the role of technology and the individuals (informatics)

Who helps to actualize this in a health care institution, how can a health care leader help to facilitate or support the role of informatics in their organization?. Any thoughts on this expectation?
