Question

The project I am doing is reducing nurse burnout by spreading the acuity of patients so it can improve nurse and patient satisfaction. From the small survey collected from my data, it is good to implement this project in my practicum. Many nurses on my unit are burned out with the current assignments that are given to them, but spreading the acuity and ratios can help improve nurse and patient satisfaction (Rischling, 2020). The achievement of my project will help shape healthcare quality by improvement of nurse satisfaction in the workplace and patient satisfaction and safety (Jun et al., 2021). Takeaways from my project are that with reducing nurse burnout, improving quality of care, and improving nurse and patient satisfaction is by starting with their assignements and spreading the acuity of patients by using an acuity tool. In six months I hope to see my project being implemented on the unit. It would help so many nurses who are overwhelmed on the unit and are wanting this change. I would hope to speak with the director about the protocol I am wanting to implement and for this change to happen.
