As a nurse educator, it is important to understand the curricular process so that you can effectively contribute to the ongoing needs, changes, and evolution in health care and nursing practice through the development of nursing curricula. For this course, you will apply aspects of the curricular process to develop a lesson plan for a proposed course topic. The lesson plan will be completed over five topics. In Topic 6, you will have an opportunity to revise and incorporate all instructor feedback prior to submitting your Final Lesson Plan assignment. The purpose of this first exempt assignment is to select a topic in nursing for a course that you are interested in developing and teaching. Once you choose a topic, submit your proposed topic to your instructor for approval. You will use the approved topic in subsequent topic assignments as you develop a lesson plan. Be sure to incorporate any instructor feedback or changes prior to submitting the Topic 2 assignment.
