Next, in the policy there should be a cancellation fee in which in detail states that the patient must provide an advanced notice prior to their surgery in which a specific time frame must be set such as 48-72 hours in advanced before a cancellation fee will be billed to the patient. Allowing flexible scheduling of surgeries can be beneficial to the patient so that the specific date and time would best accommodate the patient and can lead to less cancellations of same-day surgeries.
