Assignment:

Berlin is the Human Resources (HR) Manager at Money Heist Limited. Denver shared information on his health status with Berlin in the capacity of the HR manager. Berlin usually meets with Rio- Data Analyst and Nairobi- Secretary for lunch in the lunchroom. While in the lunch room Denver walks by and overhears Berlin sharing the information on his health status with Rio and Nairobi. Denver becomes angry. Denver returns to his desk and expresses to his colleague Helsinki what occurred. Helsinki mentions to Denver that other colleagues have complained that Berlin does not understand confidentiality and personal information is not kept private as required and is usually shared with his 'friends'. He further told Denver that a few employees have complained to management that Berlin as the HR representative is not responsible for the information shared by employees and cannot be trusted with personal information.

It is said that engaging in activities such as these by an HR representative can expose organisations to litigation. As a result, organisations must ensure that relevant rules are implemented in the workplace. It is in employers' interest to implement workplace rules to ensure that both employers and employees are protected about employee health status and the right to privacy.
