In an effort to boost local food production in Trinidad and Tobago, you have decided to establish a tilapia grow-out facility. The production system chosen for culture is a greenwater system, which heavily relies on (a) management of water quality and (b) appropriate selection of a feed.

a) With the aid of annotated graphs, describe how and why fluctuations might occur over a 24-hour period for any two (2) water quality parameters in this greenwater system. Briefly discuss actions that can be taken to correct for each of these parameters, when observed to not be within an optimal range for tilapia. [13 marks]

b) Identify three (3) nutrient components, and three (3) non-nutrient components to be considered when selecting a tilapia feed for your production facility. For each component, discuss the need for its inclusion as it relates to ensuring optimal growth and well-being of the tilapia being cultured.
