Identify three different client groups in your community. These groups might be based on age, dietary requirements, lifestyle etc.
Describe each group.
Conduct some research to find out what food preferences are relevant to each of the three groups. Using the correct terminologies, list and describe these preferences.
Explain:
How you identified the different groups. (What evidence leads you to believe that these are groups of people with common characteristics?)
How you conducted your research. (What information you gathered and from what sources it was gathered?)
Next, consider creating menus for each group.
Explain how you could design menus and meals to accommodate the needs of these groups, whilst meeting nutritional requirements. Give some suitable examples (at least two) of menus that could be used for each group.
Explain how these menus will meet client needs with regard to:
nutrition
variety
choice
palatability
appeal
enjoyment/ quality of life
cost
standard recipes
