The current size of Sentara brings challenges in implementing any new programs and/or Innovations. When employees fail at their job, they are not let go but moved to another location within the facility. This may have a positive effect on employee morale but does this affect patient care and the facility's revenue. The leadership within Sentara needs to focus on employee morale when new programs are introduced as well as having a complete review of finances to ensure that new programs will be successful. CCA receives much of its revenue from Medicare and Medicaid funding. Other revenue should be looked into to offset the current funding. This will safeguard CCA if funding becomes challenged by either Medicare and/or Medicaid. If funding was challenged then this will reduce the ability to create new programs or innovations.
