Hopefully soon, humans will begin exploring the solar system. But space is a very dangerous environment. Instead, space will have significant affects both on the physical aspects of travelers as well as their mental state. Since humans have only been as far as the Moon, astronauts have not been exposed to the hazards they would experience out in deep space or the issues associated with long duration missions (longer than 12 months). Once humans begin traveling to Mars and beyond, they will begin to experience hazards not seen before. The longer the flight, the more significant the affects.

Research and select at least four hazards space travelers will experience while exploring the solar system. At least one of these selected hazards must affect a traveler's mental well being. Summarize the affects of each hazard both in the short-term and the long-term, if applicable.
