Question: How would you code this to bill the facility? mergency Department Report Presenting Complaints: Motorcycle accident Laceration of left leg The patient was brought to the Emergency Department after being involved in a motorcycle accident. He sustained a laceration to the pretibial area resulting from falling on his left leg. He suffered no loss of consciousness or head trauma. This was the first experience driving a motorcycle for this young driver and he was unsure how to manipulate it. He was driving on a public highway when the accident occurred. There was no collision with another vehicle. Physical Examination: HEENT: Normal. NECK: No adenopathy, supple. LUNGS: Clear. ABDOMEN: Soft. CARDIO: No sinus rhythm. EXTREMITIES: Reveal a well demarcated pinpoint 5 cm laceration over the midpretibial area. The wound margins are well-marginated and there is no evidence of debris or foreign bodies. There is no arterial bleeding, but there is small venous capillary bleeding. VASCULAR: Bilateral venous pulses in the posterior tibial and dorsalis pedis. Capillary refill time is normal. NEUROLOGIC: Normal. MOTOR AND SENSORY: Normal, with no paresthesia or numbness to the left leg. The wound was irrigated copiously with normal saline and infiltrated with 1% Xylocaine. Then, it was
