This final project is designed to allow you to integrate the course readings and your reflections on your personal conceptualization of leadership and the function of leadership within organizations.

Using your reflective journal entries, readings from the course, and at least five current (2012-present) peer-reviewed outside journal articles as a guide, write a paper which compares and contrasts your conceptualization of leadership at the beginning of the course with how you currently define leadership and the function of leadership within organizations.

In essence you are articulating your own hybrid leadership theory based on at least three of the theories that you have studied this semester.

You do not have to answer all of the questions below in the paper, but you may want to consider them when planning what you will write:

How have course readings and discussions influenced your current thoughts on the function of leadership and on your role as a leader within your organization?

How does the literature you have read and five peer-reviewed journal articles about legitimate theories discussed in the class contribute to your own theory of leadership?

How will this conceptualization of leadership influence your functioning as a leader within your organization?

In other words, how will you translate thoughts into action in the workplace and in your interactions with others with whom you work?

How does your conceptualization align with the future needs of healthcare organizations in the 21stcentury?

Remember to support your explications and assertions with readings from the course and other peer-reviewed sources.

Use your own experiences and observations to reflect these ideas in practice.

Examine three or more theories that directly relate to you and contribute to your hybrid theory.

Include at least five outside journal articles that are peer-reviewed and current (2012 to present) to further support your assertions.

Apply the final hybrid theory to yourself, your workplace, and healthcare in general.

The paper must be at least 10 pages in length not including the cover and reference pages.

This paper MUST comply with APA style formats and represent excellence in writing. This paper must reflect graduate level writing and critical thinking!!
