  1. This is based on the Declaration of Independence.  
  2. As hallowed as this document has become in United States history, it is just a list of grievances. The colonists were fed up with the actions of England, and their ruler, King George III. Upon reading it. do you feel the colonists made valid points? Did they exaggerate their complaints at all?
  3. America is known as a benevolent and caring country, and the world leader in donations to other countries. But their beginning would hardly suggest that. This country was won by the people that created a revolution against the mother country, England. How radical was the American Revolution?
  4. Most people know about the Declaration of Independence, and, in general, know what it stood for. Now that you have read it, and know the details of what it really was, does it affect you differently, then before you had read it?
