Question - Jesse toader has been unfortunate with his health as of late which has forced him to sell his home in the country and move into an apartment in town. Given that he has moved a lot and made a lot of money selling his residences, he's concerned that he will have to pay income taxes in 2019. Below is a summary of his real estate transactions:

June 30, 2019- Sold his principal residence for $210,000. This home was purchased on September 30, 1987 for $73,000. (Claimed his home as his principal residence for 32 years)

March to Sept 2019- Built a home which became his principal residence when he officially moved in on October 1 2019. The cost of the home including the land was $165,000.

May 31, 2019- sold his principal residence for $225,000 and moved into the apartment.

How much will Jesse's taxable income increase as a result of the disposition of his principal residence in 2019?
