Questions: has found out that organizational culture is the main determinant of how prevailing sexual harassment is at the workplace, or, on the contrary, how intolerant is the whole environment to the instances of sexualized behavior. In addition to strong organizational leadership and commitment to a diverse and respectful workplace, the role of bystanders is increasingly being considered as a key to prevention. By making a decision to either remain silent or take an action, co-workers who see sexual harassment going on have the biggest impact on how organizational culture is shaped.

But how exactly the bystanders are supposed to step up? How do you intervene on someone's behalf and should you if you overhear something is being offensive? What can companies do to establish a culture free of harassment?

On paper and in theory, we all think we are ethical and honest people and we think of ourselves in the best possible manner, imagining that, as bystanders, we would intervene and prevent any instances of sexual harassment. But is it as easy as it sounds? What factors will enable/disable you from standing up to your values?
