You are invited to participate in a research study that focuses on how emotions and technology influences cognition. Participants will have an opportunity to experience using the Virtual Reality Headset or using the computer with headphones. You will engage with two different environments that are meant to elicit emotions. You may experience some level of discomfort while exploring the environments. You will be able to enter and discontinue at any time you prefer. Before and after each environment, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire related to any emotions you are feeling in that current moment.

Additionally, you will be wearing sensors on their clavicle and lower rib cage to measure heartrate as well as the Virtual Reality headset and headphones. All materials will be sanitized or disposed of between uses. It is preferred that you wear loose-fitted clothing to your appointment. The whole session will last approximately 45 minutes. Due to the nature of this experiment and the equipment being used, individuals with a past of the following risks are not eligible for participation: seizures, strokes, traumatic brain injury, and epilepsy. Must be 18 years or older to participate.

You are required to participate in one research study . For the write up:

1. State what you think are the Research question and hypothesis.

2. Briefly describe the methods

3. Reflect on what you think might be the findings of this study and how this this relates to information and concepts that you have learned and discussed in class (emotion and motivation).
