Current events in health care/ nursing issues

Each student will present a current health related care issue they found in the media (newspaper, news feed etc.) Article should be on something other than COVID

Students will be assigned a date for their presentation.

The student will send the article or the link to other student so that they can read the article before clinical.

Prior to the presentation the student will send the CS the article and submit written answers the following questions.

1. What is the article about? Give a brief summary.

2. What makes this news topic important? Why is this news significant?

3. How does this information impact healthcare/nursing/policies/patient care etc.?

4. Does any aspect of the CNO Standard of Leadership relate to your health care issue / presentation?

7. Questions they will use when facilitating group discussion.

For the presentation the student will summarize the article and lead a discussion with the group including some of the questions above.
