The occurrence of disease requires more than just a single factor. The tripartite model, or Epidemiology triangle of disease requires a host (organism), an agent (for example tubercle bacillus is the agent for tuberculosis), and the environment. Sanitation, hygiene, clean water and even climate change are environmental issues that can directly and indirectly impact the global burden of disease. After reading the Chapter and watching the related videos on the environment and health, respond to the following forum discussion topics.
