2.-For this assignment, please answer the following:
2.1 Discuss the concept of a "social contract": what is it? How does it go beyond a purely self-interested concept like egoism? Describe and analyze the main differences between Hobbes', Kant's, and Rawls' version of the social contract. References
2.2 Both Rawls and Kant place importance on treating people fairly, justly, and with equal dignity and respect. Thoughtfully examine how these ideas overlap in both theories: where in Kant is that brought out and how is it expressed? How do the same concepts form a foundation for Rawls' theory? References
2.3 In as much detail as possible, describe and discuss Rawls' "original position", "the veil of ignorance", and the significance of the two prinicples of justice that emerge from it. References
2.4 The 2.6 "A Theory of Justice" reading critiques Rawls' theory for being radical and of limited practice use. Yet, it includes this important line about impartiality: "the best way to divide the cake is to have the person slicing the cake take the last piece". Discuss the benefits of employing that concept by presenting an example from both a business and a personal situation. References
