Social Problem: Job Stress and Social Support in Working Adults

Job stress is a significant social problem in many communities, especially in contexts where workers face long hours, excessive demands, and limited resources to cope with these pressures. Previous research has shown that chronic stress can lead to mental and physical health problems, such as anxiety, depression, and hypertension (Lazarus & Folkman, 1984). To address this problem, a 2 x 2 factorial design can be used to examine how two important factors influence stress levels: the type of workload and the level of social support.
