Assignment:
1. Many of you drink Gatorade. I posted the nutrition label of the most popular flavor, as of six months ago. I also posted a low-calorie Gatorade, too.
a. Were you familiar with all of the ingredients that you would be drinking these? Why or why not?
b. How are either contributing to your nutrient intake?
c. Post a nutrition label of your favorite non-alcoholic drink. Explain why this drink is good for your personal nutrition other than "tastes good." Were you aware of all this drink contained?
2. The next section is diary.
a. Which one had the fewest ingredients? Most ingredients? What are your thoughts on these products?
b. Do you include dairy on a daily basis? Why or why not?
3. I know many of you use non-dairy products.
a. Which of the ones posted would be the 'best' for you to consume? Why?
b. Check the ingredients, such as calcium carbonate (supplement). Were you aware of all the ingredients? Why/why not?
c. Find another nutrition label for another non-dairy product, e.g. oat, cashew, etc. Why or why not would this product be better?
4. Finally, post your most favorite actual food, not a drink, with the nutrition label. Summarize your thoughts regarding what is included in the food.
