For people to perfectly perform their duties, they must be motivated in one way or the other. Encouraging people in any organization to actively do their duties with minimal supervision, calls for a good leader. Obviously, people working in teams are likely to perform their duties with easy because they pool efforts together. In other words, an organized team with a qualified leader does its duties in the expected way. In relation, the paper will critically discuss the characteristics of a good team. Moreover, it will look at how effective communication in teams is achieved.
Firstly, a good team is characterized by a good and skillful leadership. Just like any organization, teams have their own management body. In this case, the team is likely to be successful if it has the best and qualifies team leader. Notably, the best team leader is the one who is always committed and doing all what it takes for the team to succeed. Also, the leader is supposed to bring about oneness where whereby all members are united in carrying out team activities (Nelson, Karol & Nicholson, 2013)Additionally, a good team has common goals. This means that team members set common objectives that they all intent to achieve. It is true that different players may be assigned different roles in the team, but they all work towards achieving a certain goal that will benefit the entire team. This shows that teams are simply formed to achieve specific objectives hence they are goal oriented.
Teams are also characterized by highest degree of trust among the players. A good team will obviously have members who are trust worthy to each other
