In recent times several government and private entities in the Caribbean have fallen prey to ransomware attacks causing significant loss of productive time and much inconvenience. Conduct research on at least five (5) attacks across the Caribbean. Investigate how each attack was launched, the type of attack, the extent of the damage. Analyze the underlaying weaknesses in the affected organizations. Analyze international standards and best practices that can be utilized in the Caribbean to reduce the susceptibility to ransomware and other attacks. Be sure to conduct a thorough literature review on the subject.
