The most common anxiety disorder seen in primary care is generalized anxiety disorder (GAD-7). The GAD-7 tool is validated for screening generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), enhancing primary care providers' knowledge and early detection (Sapra et al., 2020). GAD causes mental and physical decline in patients, disrupts social functioning, and can harm an individual's quality of life (Sapra et al., 2020). The project proposes using Lewin's theory of change as a theoretical framework for implementing a new practice of regularly using the GAD-7 screening tool.
