In this regard, I believe that the health plan-provider relationship is at its most critical, incorporating areas including financial performance, incentive programs, quality and clinical management, population health, data sharing, connectivity, documentation, and categorization. Value is replacing volume as an important concern in patient care. Value-based healthcare has impacted a culture that prioritizes the ongoing enhancement of patient care in order to attain better outcomes at the expense of additional costs. Health plans support providers by providing incentives for the care they deliver to members, while also collaborating to identify healthcare deficiencies. As a result, I am of the opinion that our government cannot bear sole responsibility; while we require assistance more than ever, we must also ensure that we are all collaborating.
