Reflect on an organization in which the business model was forced to adapt (or not) as a result of change in the external environment and/or cultural influence. This could be an organization mentioned in our text or another that comes to mind. Using one or more of the strategic frameworks listed in our text (p. 254-258), how might greater attention to the competitive (business) strategy have impacted the organization? Additionally, how might a change in how the strategy was executed varied the results? For example, Blockbuster implemented Porter's strategy of focus but failed to adapt when the external environment shifted to virtual delivery of the same product. Execution of an adapted strategy did not occur thus the organization dissolved.
