TASK 1: CREATE YOUR HYPOTHETICAL BUSINESS

Consider the Digital Innovation Report introduced in Week 1. Create a hypothetical business in one of the following sectors: Safe and Precision Healthcare, Digital Agriculture and Data-Driven Urban Management. Outline what your business will be, addressing the following questions:

• What type of problem will your business solve?
• Will you sell a product or provide a service?
• How will your product/service solve the problem?
• What kind of information systems does your business have and what are their emerging capabilities? (350 words)

TASK 2: WHAT ROLE WILL THESE EMERGING TRENDS PLA Y IN YOUR BUSINESS?

Consider the emerging trends from the list below and identify at least 2 and at most 3 trends that you can take advantage of in your business. Explain their roles in your business and why they were chosen. For example, if you're going to build an app, apply AR and take advantage of the upcoming 5G network for your business, what will they do, what problems will they solve, how will they work together to solve those problems, how will they benefit the user?

WEEK 5 TASK: EMAIL COMMUNICATION
In week 5 you learned how to write an email using appropriate tone and structure.

For this task, you are required to craft an email to respond to a situation in your hypothetical business.

One of your staff has been rumoured to be using their IT equipment at work to use social media, video chat with friends and email gossip to other staff members. Write an email to this staff member to explain to them your company's stance on these actions and any reprimand that may apply. Consider also the privacy issues that may be at play.

WEEK 6 TASK: SOCIAL MEDIA COMMUNICATION
Imagine you are running the social media for your hypothetical business. What social media platforms would be appropriate for your business?
Now create 5 social media posts (image and text) that you would share on your social media accounts. Don't forget to take on board the techniques identified in your concept book.

WEEK 7 TASK: CYBER SECURITY IN YOUR BUSINESS
Identify the cyber security measures you will take in your business, explain the reason why you choose it, and discuss the importance of doing so from an ethical perspective.

WEEK 8: SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGY
Explain the environmental impact technology may have on environment and discuss how Green Computing2 should be taken into consideration when developing your business.

TASK 3: USING DATA SETS TO ANSW ER YOUR BUSINESS QUESTIONS

In Week 9 you identified at least two open datasets to help you answer important business questions. Now take one of those datasets and represent it visually such as a graph or chart that explains the answer to your question. Write a summary of what business questions this chart answers, how they are answered, and why you chose this dataset (HINT: Build on the summary you wrote in week 9). In addition, explain why data needs to be protected (HINT: think from an ethical perspective).
