6. Give an example of a common perception on how your local community views counselling.
7. Outline the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander views on death, dying, grief and bereavement. How does this differ from non-Aboriginal communities?

10. Give examples of how Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander families may be assisted when dealing with death, dying and grief issues. An example of this might include making funeral arrangements.

Project
'Killara' is client of yours who is going in for a health check. She is an Aboriginal lady, who has been struggling with depression for the last 7 years. She has 4 kids, and often appears to be showing signs of physical abuse, but will not disclose any information. Your responses must be in line with standard organisational procedures.
