Your client, 70 years old, is concerned that his wife is trying to send him to the nursing home. He has been exhibiting symptoms of Alzheimer's Disease and his wife who is also 70 years old is experiencing challenges caring for him. For example, he was extremely agitated that he could not find his police uniform and his firearm to go to work, though he has been retired for 25 years. He subsequently called the police for help and became even more upset when he began to threaten his wife who he believes is trying to get rid of him. Their adult children have their own families and have no interest in helping to care for him.
