Your hospital and your unit are experiencing major staffing problems. Y You do not feel you have a good relationship with the human resources department. In reviewing your staffing data for the past two years, you recognize that new graduates are not staying long, eight months to a year. This impacts your budget, staff morale with complaints about constantly orienting new staff, and patient outcomes. The latter is a concern as there are documentation and medication errors and patients complain that staff members are not tuned in to their needs.
