Everything that HR does is supposed to contribute to employee motivation. This is easier said than done, especially since there is not even any real agreement about the definition of MOTIVATION. What IS motivation? Is it inside us? Is it something that is done TO us? What motivates us at work? If we can understand some of these questions, maybe we can do a better job of motivating others AND ourselves.
