Sandra is a 58 years old presents for evaluation via telehealth. She describes that several months prior she was at a department store where a fire broke out and all customers customers needed to be quickly evacuated. Since then she has an extreme fear of being in any « closed space « that she cannot quickly escape from and avoids these types of situations at all costs. She admits just the thought of going to the store, theatre, or any other closed space causes severe anxiety, so much that she has resorted to all online shopping. This anxiety and fear is affecting her day to day function and causing significant distress. What do you think is going on with Sandra and what will you do for her ?
