Question
I have chosen the employee training is limited. When an organization or business implements limited training it may come from the lack of funding, the lack of trainees, time consuming, or perhaps the overall business criteria that training doesn't need to be extensive or it can be limited and other time can be used for more important things. Some negative repercussions to these training techniques could be high turnover rate, more mistakes made than average employee, lack of ambition to do the job and do it properly, compliance issues because of the lack of training, safety risks due to lack of training and high business costs for mistakes that could be made. All of these repercussions can happen because training is the most important role a business can play when it comes to the onboarding portion of there employees. If a more people friendly practice was incorporated it could cause there to be more employee appreciation for there jobs, less turnover rates, more room for success. Implementing more people friendly practices like mandatory customer service training, diversity seminars, inclusivity videos, support meetings, annual check ins etc. All of these better practices could overall change the dynamic of a struggling business to a prosperous one!
1. What specific initiative, practice, or change to your peer's evaluated practice could improve community or employee support?
2. What are the benefits and risks of implementing your suggested initiative, practice, or change?
3. If you were the primary decision-maker, would you implement your suggested initiative, practice, or change? In other words, do you feel the benefits outweigh the risks? Why or why not?
